As a lawyer, Arna Cortazzo has protected the rights of Floridians for 23 years. She graduated Magnu Cum Laude from the Shepherd Broad Law Center at Nova University in 1987. She was a Law Review Editor and served as Editor in Chief of Moot Court.
Arna practiced law as a defense attorney in South Florida from 1987 - 1992. She had the privilege of working with some of the best trial lawyers in the state. She was in trial within one week of starting and was in court almost daily thereafter.
Arna accepted a position at a large, prestigious insurance defense law firm in Central Florida in 1992 where she represented insurance companies. As a former defense attorney, Arna understands how the other side thinks - an advantage that she uses as she fights for her clients.
Arna opened her own law firm in Brevard County in 1995. She is advocate for the consumer and fights for them daily.
Arna is also an advocate for many causes. She serves as a member of the board of directors of German Shepherd Rescue of Central Florida, performs pro bono work for cancer patients, Alheimer's patients, ARC and other charitable organizations.
